This "Soulfire," is inspired by my dear aunt as she faces cancer surgery.
This piece honors her strength and the strength of all women.
Inside each of us lives a fire: sometimes quiet, sometimes fierce, but always burning.
I painted her silhouette filled with sunsets, flowers, and butterflies as a reminder that even through pain and uncertainty, beauty and resilience rise.
Just as the lotus blooms from the mud, just as the butterfly breaks free from the cocoon and so too do we.
